In a vibrant Indian village, on a hot summer day, a small black crow named Kavi feels very thirsty. The sun blazes brightly, and the dry land cracks beneath his tiny claws. Kavi looks around, fluttering his wings anxiously, wondering how to find water. His little beak opens wide as he searches for a cool drink, but all the ponds and wells seem empty. Despite his hunger and thirst, Kavi remains determined, thinking of a clever way to quench his thirst. His bright eyes sparkle with hope as he begins to plan his next move.

Kavi notices a tall pot left outside a house, half-buried in the ground. It’s an old, cracked clay pot, with a narrow neck and a wide base. Kavi hops closer, thinking of a plan. He notices some pebbles nearby and gets an idea. Carefully, he picks up a pebble in his beak and drops it into the pot. One by one, he drops more pebbles, watching the water level rise. Soon, the water is visible at the top! Kavi chirps happily, ready to drink the cool water he helped bring to the surface.

Kavi hops to the edge of the pot and dips his beak into the cool, refreshing water. He takes a long, satisfying sip, feeling grateful and happy. The sun continues to shine brightly, but now Kavi feels refreshed and energized. Nearby, children playing with colorful kites and women in vibrant sarees watch him with smiles. Kavi flaps his wings happily, knowing that his cleverness saved the day. He chirps a joyful song, sharing his happiness with everyone around.

As the day ends, Kavi perches on a tree branch, looking at the setting sun. He remembers that being clever and thinking carefully can solve even the biggest problems. The villagers gather around, sharing stories and snacks, grateful for Kavi’s quick thinking. Kavi chirps softly, feeling proud and wise. The story reminds children that using their brains and staying calm can help them overcome challenges, just like Kavi did. And always remember, a little kindness and cleverness can make a big difference!
