In a vibrant Indian village nestled between lush green fields and colorful houses, there lived a cheerful turtle named Tinku. Tinku loved to chat with everyone—birds, cows, children, even the peacocks that danced in the temple courtyard. One sunny morning, Tinku overheard a group of villagers talking about a hidden treasure deep inside the jungle. Excited and curious, Tinku decided to find it, but his endless talking soon caused trouble.
Tinku set out into the jungle, his shell shining under the warm sun. As he waddled along, he kept talking about his plans, the treasure, and all the wonderful things he hoped to find. His chatter echoed through the trees, attracting the attention of a wise old parrot named Mithu. Mithu warned Tinku, ‘Talking too much can lead you astray. Sometimes, listening is more important than speaking!’ But Tinku just giggled and kept going, eager to find the treasure.
As Tinku continued talking, he didn’t notice a sneaky snake named Sly, who was listening nearby. Sly was jealous of the treasure and decided to trick Tinku. He hissed, ‘Follow me, I know the way to the treasure!’ Tinku, excited and trusting, followed Sly deeper into the jungle. But soon, they reached a tricky swamp. Tinku’s chatter made him forget to be careful, and he almost sank! Luckily, a kind elephant named Gaja heard his calls and came to help.
After the adventure, Tinku realized that talking all the time wasn’t always helpful. He thanked Gaja and Mithu for their wisdom. From that day, Tinku decided to listen more and speak less, sharing his stories only when others wanted to hear. The villagers noticed how Tinku became a better friend—more thoughtful and kind. The jungle echoed with happy songs, and Tinku learned that listening is a true treasure.
