In a peaceful Indian village nestled among lush green fields and colorful mango trees, the moon shone brightly in the night sky. But tonight, something was unusual—its glow seemed to linger longer than usual. Little Ravi, a curious boy with big, sparkling eyes, looked up and wondered, 'Why is the moon still shining? Isn't it supposed to go to sleep?' As he gazed at the moon, he decided to find out what was happening. Little did he know, this night would bring a magical adventure.

As Ravi sat on a cozy charpai (woven bed) under the banyan tree, he noticed the moon's glow was not fading. Suddenly, a gentle voice echoed from the sky—'I am the Moon of the Eternal Night, and I forgot how to rest.' Ravi was surprised but felt brave. The moon explained that it had been so busy watching over the village and the festival of Diwali that it had forgotten to set. Ravi promised to help find a way for the moon to rest again.

Ravi decided to visit the Sleepy Stars, known in Indian stories for helping the moon rest. He traveled through a shimmering river of silver light, guided by glowing fireflies. Along the way, he met a wise old owl wearing a tiny turban, who told him, 'The moon must learn to find peace within itself. Let’s sing a lullaby together.' Ravi and the owl sang a gentle lullaby, filling the night with calming music that floated up to the moon.

As the lullaby ended, the moon felt a warm wave of calmness. It slowly began to yawn and gently sank behind the hills, ready for a good rest. Ravi smiled happily, knowing he had helped his luminous friend. From that night on, the moon remembered to rest after shining brightly for everyone. The villagers also learned that even the brightest stars need to pause and take care of themselves. And so, the night was peaceful once more, filled with gentle dreams and shining hope.
