In the peaceful village of Greenfields, a giant mango tree stood proudly in the middle of the square, its rich leaves shining in the bright sunlight. Children played around its strong trunk, and birds sang sweet songs from its branches. One windy afternoon, a curious girl named Mira saw something strange—the tree looked sad, with hanging leaves and a quiet that made her heart hurt. She wondered what was wrong and decided to learn why her favorite tree seemed so alone that day.

That evening, as the village grew still, the mango tree quietly shared its troubles with Mira. It told her how some people from the village had been picking too many mangoes before they were ready, snapping off branches, and scaring away the gentle birds and animals that lived there. The tree's voice was soft but sorrowful, and Mira's eyes welled up with tears. She promised to help, knowing that the tree's joy was tied to the kindness and care of everyone.

The next morning, Mira brought all the villagers together in the square. She told them how the tree felt weary and wounded, and how their kindness could change things. The older people nodded with understanding, and they all worked together to put up a small wooden fence around the tree as a soft reminder. The children promised to give the tree water each morning, and the animals—Raju, Pari, and Chiku—helped keep the branches safe from the troublesome older boys. Everyone agreed to treat the tree and one another with respect and love.

One afternoon, the older boys tried to snap more branches, but Mira and the animals stood courageously in front of the tree. Seeing their love and defense, the mango tree glowed with new life. It whispered a quiet thank you to Mira, its leaves gleaming more brightly than before. The tree's happiness flowed through the village, filling everyone with a warm, proud feeling. The birds came back, and children played joyfully in its shade, knowing they had helped their friend get better.

Children learned that showing love to every living thing made their village more vibrant and joyful. The tree stood high and proud, a gentle protector of their peace, reminding all that when they are kind to nature and to each other, their world blooms with happiness.
